Work and Play Theme Day
Once a month the bloggers within the business channel here at b5media.com do a themed day, where we all blog on the same topic. This month we are talking about work and play, an important topic as summer roles around. Taxgirl.com is hosting this event, you can go to her page and read all the different entries.
For me I think it is important that I can mix both together, working with companies and consulting about their social networking setups and campaigns, I am forced to spend a lot of time on these sites. While I am there to help the companies out I have been able to discover a lot of different people, musicians, writers, and comedians as I surf through different pages.
This keeps my interest level up while I am spending countless hours on these sites. Also I like to see the different design practices people use and what little gadgets they have on their page. It’s like being able to spy into my neighbors house and see what new tools and toys they have.
Being able to squeeze fun out of my work and writing by discovering new things is how I balance my work and play.
