The SXSW Mark Zuckerberg vs. Sarah Lacy Fiasco or Was It?
Apparently according to some people like Michael Arrington at TechCrunch the whole fiasco about the keynote address at SXSW was overblown. Here is the video of the interview:
I waited to see the interview before I got too excited over the fallout of the interview that I saw on twitter.
Yesterday I read cnet’s article about it and Jeff Jarvis’s analysis of it.
After reading the coverage on techcrunch today and the comments I sat down and watched, well listened to the video.
Although the interview wasn’t done very well; Lacy did cut him off, interjected herself into the interview way too much, and Zuckerberg was boring as normal. It wasn’t as bad as the fallout that was stated on Twitter.
What did you think of the interview?

I knew it couldn’t have been as bad as everyone made it out to be. I think all the bloggers there in the moment wanted to “break the story” so they all jumped on it, and as we all know, drama makes headlines.

i dunno - i was there in person. it was bad. she was unprofessional, unethical and just plain bad. journalistic aims went out the window, and the end result was me wanting to shout ‘get a room!’ because damn. she wanted him and they just should have gone and done it and then, come back to do the real interview. Yes, Mark is awkward in interviews. We all know that. but she made it worse.
